GMS Steel Fabrications are based in Pyebridge, near Alfreton in Derbyshire. We offer a complete skip manufacturing service including vinyl decals with company logo and contact details. We are a family run business with over twenty years experience producing skips and containers, sometimes sealed or sometimes enclosed for the waste disposal industry. We pride ourselves on the quality of our skip building, while maintaining competitive pricing for our customers. We can arrange delivery by our trusted transport companies to anywhere in the UK or Ireland, or your order can be picked up by your own transport from our premises in Alfreton by arrangement. This pick up arrangement is often a back load, whose destination could be anywhere in the British Isles, and skips requiring repair or refurbishment often arrive at our Derbyshire plant as a back load from our customers location whenever possible.

Mini Skips

GMS produce 2 cubic yard mini skips in any quantity, painted to your specification if required, and we can add vinyl decals with your contact details as required.

Standard Builders Skips

Our builders skips are of standard 7.5 cubic yard capacity, again available in any quantity and can be supplied painted and lettered with vinyl decals to your specification. For ease of loading these skips can be specified with a drop down door.

Roll on Roll off Skips

We manufacture a standard specification container which is commonly used in the plastic, paper and wood industries, with capacities ranging from 30 to 50 cubic yards.

Heavy Duty Roll on Roll off Skips

Heavy duty roll on roll off skips generally have a longer life span due to being built to withstand the rigors of being used in the building trade, demolition and scrap metal industries. Capacities can be same as above but can also be up to 57 cubic yards.

Compactors

GMS provide standard and custom built compactors to meet the ever changing, or sometimes very specific needs of our customers. With compaction ratios of up to 20:1 significant savings can be made on disposal costs and revenue created with recycling of certain materials. The use of compactors can lessen the impact on the environment, reduce the volume of landfill waste, save on increasing landfill tax charges and reduce transport costs for our customers.

Enclosed Skips

Enclosed skips come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes up to 40 cubic yard capacity, and can be used for things such as liquids, saw dust, wood shavings and materials of a fine nature.

Stillages

Stillages are often used in the recycling industry, holding paper, bottles, cans, textiles, plastics, cardboard etc.

Skip Repairs or Refurbishment

We have a building dedicated to skip refurbishment and repairs allowing us to, for example, straighten bent or twisted containers. We have all the neccessary hydraulic and welding equipment to effect such repairs.

Shotblasting

At GMS Steel Fabrications we offer a shotblasting and finishing / repair service including final painting. Alternatively, we will do the shotblasting and leave the finishing to you.

Vinyl Lettering

We are a small established decal supplier offering a fast reliable service to suit all our customer needs. Decal lettering and numbers are made from vinyl for long life, and are available in almost any colour, thus allowing us to create decals to match corporate colours. Sometimes called transfers, our decals are used in a wide variety of applications including shop windows and plastic display boards. Many of the skips we manufacture have decals added to them in lettering and numbers from small sizes to very large, and can be in any font. We can also make any type of Health & Safety signage.

Custom Made Skips in Bespoke Sizes

Our skips are made specifically to customer order, we don't hold stock which means we can make your skips to fit your exact requirements. We have a large yard and factory where we have specialist equipment such as plasma cutters, large industrial presses, guilotines, a heavy duty punch, paint shop facilitles for painting the skips and shotblasting. We can paint the skips in any colour you choose and we can print your company logo on the side.

Local Authorities Unitary Councils

We are pleased to say our reputation has spread to include enquiries from Local Authorities - from one end of the Country to the other! We have now made skips for Edinburgh Council, Weymouth and Leicester Councils, and we are in talks with Gloucester Council.

GMS Steel Fabrications welcome enquiries for standard or custom made skips from Local Authorities anywhere in the British Isles. For example, we have recently completed a 40cyd roll on roll off paper bank for Edinburgh Council.
